Okposo Goes Pro

Well Islanders fans, we will finally get a good close look at the Islanders hottest prospect Kyle Okposo. Choosing to leave his team mid-season is causing quite a stir around the hockey waves. The Islanders have made one thing clear, the development of Okposo is their main concern. Snow didnt like how UM coach Lucia has somehow stalled the development of their 1st round pick in the 2006 draft. At the current stage the Islanders are at, the Islanders could really use some offensive juice from Okposo (this season or next). The buzz around Okposo is that he will go to Bridgeport. What KO may not realize is that he has inadvertently put an extroadinary amount of pressure on himself. All eyes will be on him if he makes his NHL debut after the WJC. Leaving his team mid-season has caused a huge response from the media. Will he rise to the occasion and prove he's ready for the NHL or will he continue to develop in Bridgeport? Should be interesting to see how this one all pans out.
